Thursday last was my birthday. My perfect wife planned a weekend outing. I came home from work. She told me what clothes to put on and we headed south to a restaurant we have come to like for special occasions called Franck's. (If you like to experience incredible, unusual flavors in your mouth try this place) Sitting there were two of our dear friends who drove up from Richfield. We had a great evening of food and talk.
Friday we went to the Mummie exhibit at the Leonardo museum in Salt Lake. Later we caught a movie. Safe Haven. It sounded kind of like a chick flick and my guess was correct but I enjoyed the sentimentality of the thing. Dinner came later at an Italian restaurant I had never heard of but our friends had frequented before.
Both night's respite were at Little America in some nice rooms. It was just a great surprise and fun birthday. Hooray Joycie for doing and planning it all.

Freedom. Yes or No?
This was said some time ago. I don't know if the word to use is prescient or prophetic.
Our Republic and Constitution are being destroyed while the enemies of freedom are being aided. How? In at least ten ways:
1. By diplomatic recognition and aid, trade and negotiations with the Communists.
2. By disarmament of our military defenses.
3. By destruction of our security laws and the promotion of atheism by decisions of the Supreme Court.
4. By loss of sovereignty and solvency to international commitments and membership in world organizations.
5. By undermining of local law enforcement agencies and Congressional investigation committees.
6. By usurpations by the Executive and the Judicial branches of our Federal Government.
7. By lawlessness in the name of civil rights.
8. By staggering national debt with inflation and the corruption of the currency.
9. By a multiplicity of executive orders and federal programs which greatly weaken local and state government.
10. By the sacrificing of American manhood by engaging in wars we apparently have no intention of winning.
When was this said? February 11,1966, 47 years ago. What do you think? Any of it make sense?
Pro Choice vs Pro Life
I found this link on Facebook, posted by a friend. I have read a lot on this issue. I must say this woman has done a fine job in presenting the issue.
